- ½# Pitted Dates(around 30)
- 10-12 Slices of Bacon
- Cream cheese or Goat cheese
- Pecan Halves(around 30)
- ¼ cup Light Brown Sugar
- Cayenne Pepper to taste(around ¼ tsp)
- Black Pepper
- Toothpicks
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cut slices of bacon into thirds. Split dates open lengthwise, put in about a teaspoon of cream cheese and top with a pecan half. Wrap one of the pieces of bacon around trying to enclose entire date. Secure with toothpick and place on cookie sheet. Once that is all done, mix brown sugar and cayenne together.
Sprinkle Black Pepper on each then top with brown sugar mixture covering as much of top as you can. Bake for about 30 minutes or until bacon is done. Let cool and enjoy a delicious sweet and salty appetizer or snack!
